In the areas of employment and rehabilitation, the Advocacy Center may be able to help Louisiana residents with issues related to:
- Ticket to Work/SSI/SSDI and Employment Incentives
- Requests for reasonable accommodations in hiring, employment or post-secondary education
- Louisiana Rehabilitation Services
- Transition from school to work
- The four core services (advocacy, information & referral, peer support, independent living skills training) provided by Independent Living centers
- Employment issues for people working in sheltered workshops
- Representative Payee investigations

The Work Pays group will hold job fairs in 9 Louisiana cities throughout the month of October for people with disabilities and potential employers.
Do you have questions about the work of the Advocacy Center, our priorities for 2012, or thoughts to share? Lois Simpson, AC's Executive Director, will be answering your questions and listening to your ideas on Wednesday, Sept. 14th from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Monday, Sept. 19th from 3:00 pm -4:00 pm.
