Success Story: Receptionist Quincy Branch Helps Senior Apply for Housing Voucher

Quincy Branch has been the Receptionist in Advocacy Center's New Orleans office for 11 years.  Recently, a woman who had contacted AC seeking information about New Orleans' Section 8 Housing Vouchers called to tell Quincy's supervisor about the outstanding service she had received.  She said, "Quincy is the loveliest person I have ever spoken with."  The woman had first contacted another agency to find out how to apply for a housing voucher, but had been given wrong information.  She spent weeks receiving "the run around" from various agencies, and had even been instructed to apply with Jefferson Parish although she lives in Orleans!  She had become completely frustrated by her experience with these other agencies.

Luckily, a friend gave her the Advocacy Center's number, and she called and spoke with Quincy, who she said was "very, very helpful.  There is a lot of misinformation out there.  It's very confusing.  Quincy was so clear and concise in the information she provided for me.  I can't thank her enough.  Please thank her again for me."
