PAIMI (Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness) Council
PAIMI Council - Expectations
What We Expect of an AC PAIMI Council Member
First, we expect Council members to come to meetings! The meetings are held quarterly on Saturday, from 10am until 3pm.
Second, we expect Council members to take an interest in the work of the Advocacy. We provide an orientation for all new Council members and give updates on our work both at Council meetings and in between Council meetings via the Internet.
Third, we ask that Council members tell us about problems that people with mental illness are facing so that we can be aware of those problems and, hopefully, do something to help resolve them.
Fourth, we ask that Council members actively participate in the development of priorities for the PAIMI program each year and the completion of the annual PAIMI program report.
Finally, we ask that Council members tell others about the Advocacy Center and help us to recruit new members as needed.
