Housing Rights / Housing Discrimination Training

Individuals are often evicted, discouraged, harassed and rejected based on disability when renting a home. This workshop is designed to teach landlords, service providers, those with disabilities and other interested parties about the rights of people with disabilities in accordance with fair housing laws. Other topics include information on various resources pertaining to fair housing in Louisiana and on how to file a complaint under these fair housing laws and statues. We hope that participants will share their newfound knowledge with their colleagues. We also hope that this workshop will raise awareness regarding housing discrimination for all Louisiana citizens.

All trainings are free of charge. For more information, call Lisa Williams at 1-800-960-7705, ext. 128 or email: lwilliams@advocacyla.org.
